Project features

The World Bank is commissioning a flagship report on electricity trade in Central Asia. This report aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current state and future potential of electricity trade in the region, with a focus on enhancing regional connectivity and supporting a clean energy transition. The report will include various inputs from the World Bank on different chapters. The consultant will be required to (i) consolidate and integrate the inputs provided by the World Bank team; (ii) conduct a benchmarking of financial and operational sector performances of Central Asian countries (namely, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan). 

Services provided

The following describe Juru’s scope within the project tasks:

Task 0: Project Management

• Conduct a “Kick-off Meeting” (virtual).

Task 1: Benchmarking Financial and Operational Sector Performances 

• Data collection, and EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) 
• Benchmarking: Methodology development and interaction with the bank 
• Insights and recommendations 
• Proposed policy measures and draft key messages.

Task 2: Report Development

Support in developing all stages of the report including:

• Tentative outline
• Executive summary
• Introduction
• Electricity trade and decarbonization
• Benchmarking Financial and Operational Performance
• Development of a Regional Electricity Pilot Market
• Recommendations
• Conclusion
