EBRD
The EBRD is considering providing a sovereign loan to the Kyrgyz Republic to finance construction of 2 OHTL and 2 substations in the north-eastern part of the country. 48 km 500 kV transmission line will be constructed between the settlements of Kemin and Balykchy, with a 500 kV substation to be built in Balykchy. This line is near Issyk Kul Lake, a Ramsar site and an Important bird area. EBRD invited Juru to conduct the bird monitoring surveys in key seasons to provide baseline avifauna data to support future ESIA development and propose remedial actions to meet both National and EBRD standards.
