The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the “EBRD”) intends to support the construction of an approximately 48 km 500 kV transmission line in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, connecting Kemin and Balykchy. This project will also include the extension of the existing 500 kV substation in Balykchy. The project includes conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) to evaluate potential impacts and ESDD site visit.
Services provided
- Conduct E&S Scoping study to identify impacts and finalize ESIA ToR;
- Preparation of SEP and GRM;
- Perform environmental and socio-economic baseline surveys;
- Conduct biodiversity surveys for CHA and ESIA;
- Framework Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Land Acquisition and Livelihood Restoration Framework (LARF);
- Environmental and Social Action Plan;
- Engage stakeholders and disclose ESIA;
- Identify land use, assess PAPs;
- Develop ESIA package;
- Preparation of Environmental and Social Due Diligence report (ESDD).
