The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering financing JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (“NEGU”) for the development of a 550 kV Namangan substation located in the Kosonsoy district of the Namangan Region, Uzbekistan. The Client is seeking an ESDD consultant to confirm the project categorization (Category “B”) and conduct an E&S assessment in accordance with the EBRD Performance Requirements and other applicable standards. Thus, Juru’s role as the ESDD consultant is to assess the Project’s environmental and social risks in accordance with international best practices and local regulations. Additionally, Juru team will take a hands-on and adaptive approach, responding to emerging challenges and capacity needs related to Namangan SS project throughout the 12-month support period as part of Post-ESDD and Capacity Building Support.

• Task 1: Review of Available Data and Site Visit
• Task 2: Environmental and Social Audit of Corporate E&S Management Systems and site visit to location of the proposed project
• Task 3: Environmental and Social Assessment Report
• Task 4: Update ESAP, NTS, SEP for disclosure
