Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar

Masdar is conducting development studies to facilitate the establishment of a 500 MW onshore Wind Power Project (WPP) in the southwestern region of Kazakhstan, Jambyl. The Project comprises approximately 65 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each with a minimum capacity of 7.5 MW. To integrate the WPP into the grid, the 125 km Overhead Transmission Line will be constructed as well. The Project involves the undertaking of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and national Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) assignements as well as preparation of the Livelihood restoration plan. The anticipated performance requirements are in line with the Environmental and Social performance standards of the EBRD, IFC, and ADB.
