The project will seek to assess the viability of solar rooftop PV in the SME sector in Kazakhstan. This assignment will include the following key tasks: (i) review of existing barriers/policies/regulation, solar resources and experience with rooftop solar PV programs in the SME sector globally (including Kazakhstan); (ii) market assessment in the SME sector; (iii) prefeasibility studies in the viable sectors, including economic and financial analyses; (iv) roadmap with recommendations on the policy, regulatory, institutional, incentives and programming options; and (v) design of dedicated financial products needed to realize the rooftop solar PV potential in these markets.
