Project features

The Azerbaijan 240 MW Wind Farm is a greenfield Independent Power Project IPP that is developed by ACWA Power in an area between the Khizi and Gobustan regions in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project footprint covers a total area of approximately 46.7 km2. Juru was hired to conduct the meteorological study. The purpose of hydrometeorological surveys is to obtain the necessary data to assess the climatic conditions of the construction area, to identify dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena.

Services provided

• Conduct data collection from local meteostations of Azerbaijan following the parameters and the relative humidity based on 25 and 50 years of return period according to ASHRAE 20171 guidelines
• Develop meteorological models from collected data systemizing collected materials and meteorological observations with an assessment of the quality of the data
• Deliver final meteorological report to assess the climatic conditions of the construction area and identify dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena
