Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar

Masdar and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an agreement for the assessment, development and implementation of a 4 GWac pipeline of solar PV and onshore wind projects in the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the first phase, Masdar initiated the development of a 217 MW wind power plant in the Gobustan region. As a part of the project development stage, Masdar awarded Juru to provide technical advisory services.

Services provided

Geotechnical Investigations

  • Conduct extensive field investigations by drilling 150mm nominal diameter boreholes up to 35m below ground level and excavate a trial pit (TP)of size 3m x 3m to gather comprehensive geotechnical data compliant with IEC, IEA and MEASNET
  • Submitting geotechnical report with field work and SPT, ERT, TRT tests results and ERT, TRT laboratory analysis including atterberg limits, particle size distribution, water and soil chemical results in order to recommend design and soil parameters

Topographical Study

  • Perform a detailed topographical survey within proposed area including access roads and transmission lines using Unmanned Aerial drones adhering to specified grid mesh requirements
