Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar

The Zarafshan Wind Power Project, led by Masdar in collaboration with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan, started an initiative aimed at bolstering Uzbekistan’s renewable energy capacity. This project involves the design, finance, construction, and operation of a 500 MW utility-scale wind farm located in the Navoi region, set to be the largest of its kind in Central Asia and the first in Uzbekistan. Juru was hired to perform Biodiversity Monitoring in accordance with Project’s Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP).

Services provided

  • Implement Post-Construction Fatality Monitoring (PCFM) to monitor and analyze the impact of the wind turbines and associated infrastructure on aviafauna
  • Conduct validation studies to assess the effectiveness of the IdentiFlight system
  • Perform Raptor nest monitoring surveys
