Head of Terms signed on October 30th, 2023 between The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, represented by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation to develop 500MW wind project in Uzbekistan. The proposed project site of Gazli WPP is located approximately 60km far from existing 500/220kV Karakul SS. Juru is engaged to conduct the environmental and social screening of two potential sites Gazli and Shuruk for the development of a 500 MW wind farm and associated overhead transmission line (OHTL). Following the screening and selection of the preferred site, Juru will carry out a full Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Bird and Bat Monitoring, Land acquisition and Livelihood restoration plan/Resettlement Action Plan (LALRP/RAP) for the chosen location.

Services provided

Screening, ESIA, B&B monitoring and LALRP/RAP:

• Conduct the environmental and social screening of two potential sites Gazli and Shuruk for the development of a 500 MW wind farm and associated overhead transmission line (OHTL).
• Develop Scoping report and final ToR for ESIA
• Prepare the draft/Final SEP and GRM
• Conduct Environmental, biodiversity and social baseline surveys
• Conduct Bird and Bat Monitoring: Vantage point surveys for WF and OHTL, Passive acoustics for WF (using Wildlife Acoustics ultrasound recorders), Active transect surveys for WF, Roost search for WF, CRM, Asian Houbara Survey
• Develop full ESIA package, Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP), Critical Habitat Assessment (CHA)
• Support Disclosure of E&S documents
• Support for financial close and budget
• Conduct LALRP/RAP support (Land acquisition and Livelihood restoration plan/Resettlement Action Plan)
• Prepare National EIA Report
• Develop Noise and Shadow Flicker modelling
